I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) – Brazil, and also I am an undergraduate student at Zimmer Lab. Both my grandmothers passed away with Alzheimer’s Disease when I was younger, and that kind of led me to studying this condition. I am just a rookie, thus I do not have much to say here besides the fact that I was really lucky in finding this lab and these people, for they are really nice and professional.

My family comes from the border of Brazil and Uruguay, but I was born and raised in Porto Alegre, the capital city of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is also very likely that I was born with the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum, but the diagnosis process is slow and difficult here in Brazil. My personal interests are pretty much nerd-related: I like video games, anime and manga, movies, and fantasy books. Sometimes I write sonnets when particularly inspired.
